New Court On The Block

New Court On The Block
By: Cordelia Lundgren

Clarksville’s 2018 homecoming coronation was a smashing success! Junior Carter Leerhoff was Master of Ceremonies. The night consisted of skits by the senior parents and the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior class. Senior Kylie Smith, also a homecoming queen candidate, won Ms. Hot Lips. Alongside her escort, James Jacobsen, who also won Mr. Hot Lips. Although the pair didn’t take away the crowns, they still walked away with t-shirts proudly labeling their title. Other members of the court were, (left to right) Cecelia Groah, escorted by Christoper Behrends, Allyson Essink, escorted by Drew Kromminga, Mallory Hoodjer, escorted by Dawson Holub, Bailey Meyers, escorted by Pacen Hendricks, and Kylie Smith, escorted by James Jacobsen. Congratulations to Clarksville’s 2018 Homecoming King and Queen; Dawson Holub and Mallory Hoodjer. The two were awarded their crowns by stand-in alumni Paige Morrison, representing last year’s queen Makenna Popham, and Christopher Nelson, representing last year’s king, Cael Negen. Unfortunately, the two could not attend this year’s ceremonies, but their stand-ins did an excellent job. Please join Clarksville in helping to celebrate homecoming week by attending the two home games this week taking place in the East gym Monday, December 4th against Riceville at 4:30 p.m. and Friday, December 7th against Don Bosco.
